Proton and Cusco Combine for APRC Junior Series

An exciting new option for the 2011 APRC is the Junior Series and the first of the N2 cars was revealed yesterday at the Tokyo Auto-Salon show, one biggest automotive shows in the world.

On display was the N2 Proton Satria Neo built by Japanese automotive parts manufacturer Carrosser Co., Ltd. (CUSCO) and available for sale and competition in the Japanese and Asia Pacific Rally Championship Junior series.

The APRC Junior series for drivers under 28 years old and four APRC events, starts at the Malaysian rally followed by Rally Queensland (AUS), Whangarei (NZ) and finally Rally Hokkaido, Japan.

Cusco are expected to run a minimum of two Proton Satria cars in the APRC junior series, while rumours abound of a team of Ford Fiestas.
