Its cold…. much colder than we are used to having here. Its about 7 or 8 degs now and drops down to 2-3 overnight!

Forecast says for mid teens but somehow Im not sure. Rain forecast later in week. Welcome to Hokkaido!! Yesterday I think it got to about 12. Cold but not unpleasant. Stunning day yesterday with clear blue skies. Today overcast.

The thing of note is the amount of snow on the surrounding hills!!I’ll be surprised if some of the stages up around Rikubetsu don’t have snow on them, even if only on sides of road.
