Malaysia Rally begins with a walk for Singh

Karamjit Singh’s entry back into APRC got off to a bad start when his car failed scrutineering and while repairs were made, driver and co-driver were forced to walk over the start ramp – minus their car.

Unfortunately the fuel cell did not have the correct certification and the team were forced to install the standard ‘unsafe’ version to satisfy the FIA Rules.

“Its not a great way to start off our APRC campaign, but then its going to taste all the sweeter when we win the event” said Singh after the ramp.

“If it stays dry, sure its going to be tough to keep up with the faster cars, but if it rains (and there has been lots of rain every day) we’re definitely in with a great chance” said co-driver Jagdev Singh.
