Tapper heads to WRC Rally Finaland

Hello All,

Just a quick update on the preparation pre Rally Finland.

We have finished Reconnaissance today and Jeff and I are feeling good about our notes and the rally ahead. Recce was really tough with two long days and lots of kilometers at a pretty slow pace writing notes on arguably the fastest gravel rally stages in the world.!!

After seeing these fantastic roads we can now see why Finland seems to produce so many world champions..!! The roads are unlike anything else and with so many blind crests and big jumps we are realistic about our aspirations for the rally and will be concentrating on trying to make sure we see every stage and get the experience to be able to come back here and be more competitive next year.

With this being our flying Finish teammate Jarrko Nikara’s home event we will be aiming to be the next best placed Pirelli Star Driver car at the end of the event.

After the testing we took part in on Monday and the two days of recce I am happy to say that my injuries do not seem to be causing me too much problem and am confident the pain will be manageable during the rally.

Rally Finland starts Thursday night 1900 Finish time with a short blast around the Killeri Super Special stage and then the rally proper starts 0730 Friday morning. To keep up with live results see www.wrc.com

That’s all for now I will endeavour to send an update on our progress after Fridays stages.

Thanks for every ones support, I hope you are all well.

I have attached a photo of the car looking fresh and ready to start tomorrow.

Kind Regards

Mark Tapper
