CUSCO announce their 2009 plans

The CUSCO team have announced their plans for 2009 with confirmation they will concentrate on the Asian rounds and compete for the Asia Cup.

CUSCO are the official racing team for Carrosser Co.Ltd., and president Toshio Omizo announced their campaign for 2009 will focus on promotion in the Asian area where they see potential sales growth for their auto and motorsport products.

Lead driver Hiroshi Yanagisawa will drive for a 4th season, while young up and coming driver Yuya Sumiyama gets another chance to prove his speed on the international series.

CUSCO are planning to compete in one Japanese national championship round to serve as gravel testing for their new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X rally cars.

19-21 June: Japanese Rally Championship round 4 “MSCC Tokyo Rally”(T.B.C)

11-12 July: APRC Asia cup round 1 “Rally Hokkaido”

15-16 August: APRC Asia cup round 2 “Malaysian Rally”(TBC)

3-4 October: APRC Asia cup round 3 “Rally Indonesia”

14-15 November: APRC Asia cup round 4 “China Rally”

*APRC Asia cup requires normination of three of total 4 rounds
