Gaurav Confirmed for PWRC

Gaurav replaced Naren Kumar in the Tommi Makinen-prepared Subaru at Rally Wales late last year, and will now join the Indian team for the 2009 season.

Although Gaurav completed a very successful 2008 season with Team MRF, scoring his maiden APRC victory at Rally Indonesia, it’s not yet known if he will line up for the ‘other’ large Indian rally team this year. The PWRC program announced on the Team Sidvin web site clashes with rallies New Caledonia in April and Whangarei in June.

What is known is that experienced co-driver David Senior will join him the Sidvin Subaru. Senior spent much of last year in a Citroen WRC with Conrad Rautenbach, and was Alister McRae’s regular co-driver in the WRC until 2005.

Gill and Team Sidvin will contest their first round at Rally Norway next week.
