Competitor Update – Jan 2016

Welcome to my first APRC update for 2016, with some important pre-season information, for your reference.

APRC 2016 calendar

I’m pleased to advise that the APRC calendar for 2016 has now been finalised, as follows:

  1. New Zealand: 30 April – 1 May
  2. Australia: 18-19 June
  3. China: 6-7 August
  4. Japan: 24-25 September
  5. Malaysia: 29-30 October
  6. India: 10-11 December
  • APRC rallies will be all 6 rallies as above
  • Pacific Cup will be New Zealand and Australia
  • Asia Cup will be China, Japan, Malaysia and India (with best 3 results counting)
  • Junior Cup will be New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Malaysia
  • Production Cup will be all 6 rallies of APRC
  • As in 2015, Würth Cup will include all 6 rallies of APRC

2016 APRC Regulations

  • As previously advised these are available on the FIA website www.fia.com and the APRC website www.fiaaprc.com
  • Please note the changes to the regulations from 2015, as outlined in APRC Update 2015.10
  • If you have any problems accessing or downloading these, or have any questions about the regulations or registration process, please let me know

Registration form and dates

  • The 2016 APRC registration form will be available on the APRC website from today
  • Registrations for APRC, Junior Cup, Pacific Cup and Production Cup will close at same time as entries for Rally Whangarei, ie Monday 4 April
  • Note that there will again be a reduced registration fee if paid on or before 29 February 2016

International Rally of Whangarei

  • As advised previously, there are some changes for Rally Whangarei. Please check RG1 or the rally website www.rallywhangarei.co.nz
  • In advance planning for logistics for this rally, I am advising teams to have their containers arriving in Auckland port, no later than Monday 18 April
  • MPI quarantine inspections will be held on Thursday 21 or Friday 22 April in Auckland. Once completed containers will then be moved to Northtec, Whangarei
  • Final details will be advised closer to time
